Extended Baetis Body Wally Wing BWO Mayfly Dun
The Baetis Wally Wing Blue Wing Olive Mayfly (BWO) are one of the first mayflies and the last to hatch here in our western states. In fact, on some waters they’ll hatch all year long. Cloudy, rainy, stormy, and snowy weather makes for the best hatches. 
During these times the hatches are the longest and most intense. One day on the San Juan River in New Mexico, while most people were dredging midges, my son and I spent the hole day casting BWO Extended Body Dun dry flies netting fish after fish until we were tired. It was one of the best days we ever had on the San Juan.

These flies are very durable and float like corks. The hackle is trimmed on the bottom horizontally even with the hook point and vertically with the hook point, forming a “V”. This helps the flies set on the water like the natural and stops your leader from twisting when casting. You won’t be disappointed.
