The Green Drakes are one of the largest mayfly families and are also one of the most eagerly-anticipated and pursued by trout in the west. Specific to streams and rivers, these big bugs offer great action for Big Fish. When emerging, it takes the duns a long time to stretch and dry their wings before they can take off, making them vulnerable to rising trout. Fly Fishers use travel from all over the world to fish, in June, to fish this hatch at the famed Henry’s Fork of the Snake River, in Last Chance, Idaho. They comprise two species; The Giant Green Drake, (#12) , preceded by the smaller Flav (#14).

These flies are very durable and float like corks. The hackle is trimmed on the bottom horizontally even with the hook point and vertically with the hook point, forming a “V”. This helps the flies set on the water like the natural and stops your leader from twisting when casting. You won’t be disappointed.
